Forget about ordinary horse races! In Enclose Horse, you're not riding a horse, you're a wise herder. Your mission is to use barriers to trap an unruly horse that's running wild. It's the perfect combination of Go and Blind Man's Bluff! Every move you make will determine whether you win or watch the horse escape into the woods.
To become a master in Enclose Horse, you can't just place barriers randomly.
Switch: You place a barrier post, then the horse will move one step to the next square.
Objective: Place barriers so that the horse is completely trapped within a closed area with no more squares to move.
Failure: If the horse touches the edge of the map, it escapes and you lose.
Don't chase the horse. If you place the barriers right next to the horse, it will easily slip through the gaps.
Place the barriers further away, near the edges of the map where the horse is heading. You need to create a "front line" to block its escape attempt before closing in.
The horse in the game is usually programmed to find the shortest path out of the map. Take advantage of this to trap it into areas where you have placed scattered barriers, then just 1-2 final steps to seal it off.
Each level usually has a few rocks or trees. Treat them as free barriers and build a plan to surround these objects to save turns.
