Flixle

Do you love TV shows and can pick your favourite from afar? Flixle is for you! Flixle replaces text with fascinating images, inspired by Wordle.
Flixle challenges you to identify a popular TV show using episode stills instead of text. It tests visual memory, detail, and pop culture knowledge well.

How to play Flixle

Only one still image appears as the game starts. This image may be a specific perspective, object, or long view with characters' faces obscured.

Search for the show you think it is and use a dropdown. If you're unsure, press "Skip" to advance to the next frame.

After every incorrect guess or "Skip," a new frame from the same series is revealed. Subsequent frames are usually clearer, showing details like a character's face, a signature setting, or the show's distinctive color palette.

You win if you correctly identify the show within six attempts. If you fail to guess it after six frames, the game reveals the answer.

What Makes Flixle Unique

Flixle requires a director, unlike word-guessing games. To get the show you must understand colour grading, clothing, architecture and aspect ratios. Flixle has it all, from 90s and 2000s oldies to Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime and Disney+ blockbusters.

Like Wordle, Flixle offers one puzzle per day. It builds anticipation and promotes good entertainment without taking up too much time.

We hope you have a great time playing Flixle!
