Geo Riddle

Geo Riddle is a puzzle game that combines geography knowledge with logic. Geo Riddle gives you a sequence of text clues about the culture, population, borders, history or geographical features of a certain country. It's a step up from games that simply ask you to identify a country by its flag or the shape of its map.

You must piece these facts together to identify the target country, city, or landmark within a limited number of guesses.

Basic Gameplay

Check out the first clue The game starts with a little puzzle.

Enter the country or place you think is correct in the input field.

Feedback: If wrong, the system will provide the next clue or geographical indicator.

Refine and submit: Use the feedback to focus your search on the world map and submit your final answer before you run out of turns.

Unique Strategy

Don't try to guess correctly on the very first turn if the clue is too vague. Use your first turn to "anchor" your guess at a central global location to obtain directional and distance indicators.

Enter Turkey or Egypt; these countries sit at the crossroads of Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Analyze the directional arrow

If the arrow points West and indicates a large distance, you know the answer lies in the Americas.

If the arrow points Southeast, focus your search on Southeast Asia or Oceania.

Key Keywords

Often the Geo Riddle designers add some really specific terms that are strong classifiers. Pay great attention to the following phrases that can instantly eliminate 80% of the global map:

Landlocked. See this word, instantly skip island nations and coastal countries. Concentrate only on Central Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, or the two landlocked countries in South America.

Equator: The answer must be somewhere in the tiny band running through Brazil, Central Africa or Indonesia.

Island / Archipelago: Scan the Caribbean. The Pacific. The Indian Ocean. Immediately.

Borders X countries: This is an important hint. For example, if a country borders only one country, that country must be Canada, Portugal, South Korea, or a country totally surrounded by another.

Have a great time playing Geo Riddle!
