If you love pure logic but feel that guessing words in Wordle sometimes relies too heavily on language skills, this game is for you.
True to its name, it is the perfect blend of Mastermind—the classic code-breaking board game of the 20th century—and Wordle—the grid-based puzzle craze of the 21st century. Instead of racking your brain for letters, Mastermindle challenges you to crack a secret sequence of colors.
Mastermindle’s mechanics transcend language barriers. You don’t need to know English or any other language to play; it’s all about logic.
Your mission is to correctly identify a secret code sequence hidden by the system within a limited number of guesses.
Start by selecting colors from the available palette to fill the first row, then hit confirm.
This is the crucial part. Unlike Wordle's background color changes, Mastermindle provides feedback via pegs or small icons next to your guess row.
Black and Green pegs: Indicate a color that is both correct and in the right position.
White and Yellow pegs: Indicate a color that is correct but in the wrong position.
Empty or Gray spaces: Indicate that the selected color is not part of the secret code at all.
Deduce and repeat: Use the clues from the previous step to adjust color positions or swap incorrect colors for new ones in the next row until you crack the original code.
Have a great time playing Mastermindle!
