Pips NYT

The New York Times invented a new logic game called Pips NYT that is based on dominoes. After being tested in Canada for a few months, the game was finally released on August 18, 2025. This is also the first game that NYT Games made from scratch, rather than using existing formats like Sudoku or Crossword.

How to play?

• Players put dominoes with round dots on the board by dragging and dropping them.
• You can turn dominoes to line them up.
• Each sector on the board will have its own rules, like:

The numbers must be the same (=) or not the same (≠).
The total number of dots must be less than, greater than, or equal to a certain value.
Some places are free and don't have any rules.

• The game is over when all the dominoes are in the right spot, according to the rules.

The fascinating thing is:

There is no time limit.
You may rectify the mistakes without any problems.
The game will tell you where to change things when you make a mistake.
