Wordfall is a new word-puzzle game that artfully combines vocabulary and speed. It creates a lively game board with letters falling from the top of the screen. You must quickly join falling letters into English words using your eyes and hands.
Keep a close watch on the waves of letters pouring down.
Drag or click on adjacent letters—horizontally or vertically—to form valid words (consisting of at least 3 letters).
The longer the word and the more complex its structure, the higher your score.
A common mistake among new players is trying to track every single letter while it’s still in mid-air. This leads to eye strain and overwhelms your brain’s processing capacity.
IInstead look the bottom half of the screen where the letters impact and begin to stack up. Scanning these groups of letters, whether they are stationary or moving slowly, makes it much easier to discover prospective words.
Instead of attempting to identify a whole word from the start, teach your eyes to rapidly recognize common English letter combinations like “TH,” “SH,” “CH,” “ING,” “ED,” or “ER.”
Once you have "locked on" to one of these clusters, scan the surrounding letters to attach a prefix or suffix and you'll soon have a high-scoring word. Scoring and Survival At the slower early levels, aim to locate 5-6 letter words for the best score.
However, as you move up to higher levels with tighter time limits, instantly switch to “survival mode.” Scan fast, make connections using short words, e.g. CAT, DOG, THE, AND, etc. You can save your score and finish the level safely by stringing together these shorter words quickly, rather than wasting precious time trying to get the “perfect” lengthy phrase.
Enjoy your time playing Wordfall!
